Appearence Hide
They are mostly similar to usual humans. Demons have horns of any kind, fangs and membrane wings sprouting from their backs. While Angels have halo-like protuberances on the body and/or floating pieces of halo-like structures, as well as multiple eyes (3+, can be in placed in any part of the body), and feathered wings. Angels tend to have yellow hair, and blue, green or brown eyes. Demons tend to have red or brown hair, and purple, or red eyes.
In their otherworldly form, they tend to ressemble non-human animals, but huge and sometimes deformed by big horns, in demons cases, or multiple halo-like structures, in angels cases.
Origin and Myths Hide
It's said that Alarya (also called Alana) created this species to help take care of her creations, and gave them immense powers to do so. She separated them in Angels and Demons. The angels would go to mountains and hills, and the demons would take care of the grounds and caves. However, she noticed that the angels soon turned cruel and indifferent to her creations pleas of help. For that, she stripped them of their powers and cursed them to be bound by halos. It's said that if an angel was to destroy their halos, they would free their ancestral powers. But halos are very sensible part of the angels, and tend to grow back.
The demons, in the other hand, seemed to like and love so much Alarya's creations, that they started to have offsprings with other sapient species. However, demons' offsprings would turn out to be able to be both angels or demons. Fearing what would happen if those offsprings turned cruel as well, Alarya cursed them all. She bound hose ressembling angels with halos, all to be inherited by their children, and considerablely downgraded those ressembling demons: their powers from then on could only be used as blessings, to help others only. That's how it's explained the capacity that demons have of instintively knowing people's desires.
